Liquid-cooled charging technology is imperative under “Objective of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”

Date:2023/6/9 1:49:51

On September 22, 2020, at the 17th General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that "China will strive to peak its carbon dioxide emissions by 2023 and work towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2060." This is China's goal of peak carbon and carbon neutrality. This proposal has immediately aroused widespread concern in the domestic and international community, and the desire to achieve the goal of peak carbon and carbon neutrality requires efforts from every industry. As a research and development enterprise related to new energy vehicles, it plays an important role in green travel, and the continuous development of liquid-cooled charging technology is the best example.

The liquid-cooled charging system supports high-power charging in a short period of time, and the power consumption during standby is <10W, which greatly reduces the power loss. For charging station operators, it directly reduces the operation cost. Thus, the liquid-cooled charging system meets the demand of green and energy-saving social development.

In addition, the liquid-cooled charging system is a compartmentalized and closed design, with additional coolant pipes inside the cable. When the machine is working, heat is taken away through liquid circulation to achieve efficient heat dissipation. This approach meets the high-density heat dissipation demand generated by high-power charging of cars nowadays. The energy consumption of heat dissipation saved is equivalent to a large-scale reduction of carbon emissions, escorting the development task of green transformation of social economy.
Today, more and more companies in the industry are focusing on the optimization of liquid-cooled charging technology. FAFA.E and OMG, a provider of new energy charging application technology, reached a strategic cooperation. They inject new concepts and designs into and fully develop high power liquid-cooled charging systems. Their liquid-cooled charging guns comply with IATF 16949 automotive standard and ISO 9001 standard. Water-cooled or oil-cooled charging guns of 500A and 700A are available upon request, suitable for practical applications in different regions.
In fact, liquid-cooled charging technology is an inevitable need to promote the sustainable development of society, whether it is to support electric vehicles to accomplish supercharging or to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
